Los Tacos No. 1

Disclaimer: None of these pictures are mine, all credit goes to their proper owner. I am not getting paid to promote any of these places, hotels, or shows. I am only doing this to help travelers get an idea of what they might want to do, or where they might want to go. Enjoy!

I noticed that I talk a lot about food places in my blogs. So I thought that I would get this one out of the way so that we can talk about the shops. I know I can get off topic when I start talking about food (cause food is amazing!). This place doesn’t have a very large menu, (which I liked since I usually can’t make up my mind on what I want. Sometimes less is more especially when it’s your first time eating there.) but we had decided to get tacos. Mine was a little bland since I had not gotten a lot of spices on mine. My travel buddy had gotten a ton of things on her tacos and it had more flavor and texture (She said it was amazing). She got the pork taco and I had the beef taco, so they were very different.

And of course we got chips and guac because well we aren’t barbarians (just kidding…. kind of). The problem with Chelsea Market is that if you just have a food stall, there are no seats to enjoy your food. Now they do have a few places around the area to eat but since it’s New York all of them were taken. The staff was nice and they had gotten our order out quick. So we went to hunt down a table and some chairs. The tacos were soft shell and I got to admit, they tasted different from all the other places that I had been to. They have a more grounded way of making food. It feels more home made, than fast food or restaurant dinning type food. They also had these drinks (I had never heard of them before) I think they were made by the shop. I can’t be entirely sure though but a lot of people were ordering them. Me and my travel buddy actually have a great love of Middle and South American countries. She actually was in South America for the Peace Corps, so when we are together we get Mexican, Venezuelan, basically that kind of food (especially if it is authentic, plus we wee in Costa Rica together).

The chips and guac were really good too! Which out of everything thats usually my favorite thing to eat, It’s definitely my go to snack (other than the food itself, chips and guac or salsa are just to good to pass up). Clearly I have a thing for Mexican food. It’s funny that tacos or quesadillas are usually the first thing that I crave (plus chips and guac as well… cough cough. couldn’t help myself). So if you want to try the place out I will be leaving a link below.
