So my last post mentions what happened on my first day in New York but it doesn’t tell you the exact places that i went to or what I saw. That was obviously on purpose, since I wanted to tell what happened and not be so overly detailed on where I was. This way I can share with you the exact places I went to. This post is going to be about my hotel. I had a very enjoyable stay and giving it its own blog post just seemed right.

The hotel we stayed at was the Club Quarters Hotel in Mid Town, New York City. Not to be confused by the one on Wall Street, Rockefeller Center, World Trade Center, Or Grand Central. I am specifically talking about the one in Mid Town, or as it is also called Time Square. It’s on 40 West 45th Street New York, NY 10036 (Between 5th and 6th Avenues). Even though its not ostentatious like the Plaza Hotel, its very beautiful in its own right. Its comfy seating area that is right next to the bar (thank god) are a great relaxing after a long trip. Its a four star business hotel right next to Time Square, which gives you easy access to the train, many many restaurants, food trucks, bars, tourist sites, and many other places you will want to visit, during your stay. It has a key card access elevators so guest feel safe, and a very nice restaurant and bar inside on the first floor. I didn’t have time to go to the restaurant but the bar is the place to be! If you want to find out more about the hotel I’ll leave a link at the bottom.

Now our room was for two people and only had one queen size bed and that was perfect for us, since we only really needed the hotel to sleep, shower, and have a safe place to leave our stuff. We were usually out all day and came back around 12 am, so you can see why it was only used for the necessities. The other thing that we missed since we were never at the hotel, was the complimentary cocktails from four-five pm. I’m pretty sure it’s just one glass of wine, but come on say it with me “Free Wine”. I don’t know about you but i like my wine free.

Personally I hate when I stay at a hotel, and everyone is professional (just mean). This hotelwas the complete opposite and had a lovely staff. Everyone that worked in the hotel was very nice and helpful, especially with every question that I asked (tourist questions to New Yorkers, so embarrassing “sigh”). And many of them were super friendly and entertaining to talk to. I don’t know about you guys but I’m a talker and i love having people to talk to on my trips. I think that is one of the biggest reasons for traveling. From front desk to bar, who ever is in charge of hiring the staff are doing a fabulous job!

I think the best part was that it was that not only was the staff friendly and fun, but the people staying at the hotel seem to be the same way. Well in my experience they were, many are traveling for business, but we met a couple that were there for a wedding. They had come to New York from half way around the world. I can say with the utmost confidence that I would go back, which i actually have! But that is a story for another day.
